Bitten By Wait-Long-Long Bug

I have tonnes of experiences for just a short stay in Egypt. Some are frustrating and some are funny....

Today, I want to tell my wife about the Wait-Long-Long Bug Story. Yeah, you can find them almost everywhere! Breed in Egypt.

I give you one example here, why you will hate the wait long long bug here so much but you can't do anything to avoid the bug:

You wait long long when you want to install a new air-conditional unit (because the old one have no heater). They will take out the old unit, leave the old casing there. Then try to put the new unit into the old casing and found out that the old casing is too small. Then they take out the old casing and change to new casing. Then they found out that the original wall opening is too small, the new casing can't fit in! Then they remove the casing, unscrew everything again, and hack the wall to give bigger space. Then they do not have proper tool, so they use plier to slowly plier open the wooden wall, bit by bit. Then finally the wall opening is big enough, they realise that they need one more wooden plank to support the AC unit because of the bigger opening...so they go find wood. When they finally got the wood, nail it in, slide in the new casing, slide in the unit itself, connect the power cable, switch on the air con.....NO HOT AIR COMING OUT! THE UNIT NEED TO CHANGE, BRAND NEW AND SPOILT! Oh well....next what they do? You read the whole thing in reverse order.....they fix back the old air con and went home.

What an adventure right? The funny thing is: You know how many of them came for the installation fo a small window unit? 4 Egyptian! and the AIR CON IS NOT WORKING! Blooody kuku. Here's the roles and responsibilities:
>One of them is a supervisor....stand there and monitor the progress...and smoke
>The second one help to pass the plier around...then standby...maybe pass screw driver next round
>The third one just help to carry the new air con unit up and old unit down. Actually I think we work the hardest.....he carry the whole damn thin by himself..on top of his head...
>The fourth one? Yeah, you are right...he do the take out, put it, take out again, cannot put in...open wall...wall too big things!
