New CD - I can only drool

Michael Jackson - Thriller 25year Anniversary
-
"Beat It" is probably the first English pop song that I can hum along without even listening to it very much before. I was awed when I first saw MJ do his moon walk and robotic 360deg rotation with "Billie Jean". He is one of the singer on my "DIE DIE MUST WATCH" list if he ever going to have a concert in Singapore again.

Jack Johnson - Sleep Through The Static

Jack Johnson's music is so my-type. I love the way he composes the songs and the way he presents them. Simple, soothing and relaxing. His first album is probably one of my many CD collection that I listened to most. His second album is too "cartoon-ist", but this one looks like it's going to be on par with his first.

==========

I love music very much, I spent most of my pocket money when I still schooling. I start to buy music in cassette format. Long after the CD format was released, I still buy cassette as CD was not as affordable as now.

I used to spend lots of time visiting the few music stores available in my small hometown. I spent so much time there that I can tell which singer it is from far away just by looking at the side packing of the cassette. I can also remember most of the location of those cassette on the display rack.

In Egypt, non-Arabic CD is rare. They do have a Virgin Records store at downtown Cairo, but that's pretty much the only place. The price is also expensive, at least double the price in Singapore.

Well, I tuned in to MTV most of the time to get some dose of English music.... As for Mandarin music, I can only sing it to myself if I need some.
